In this bag, pack anything you might need. In general, use this bag to store emergency supplies such as extra chargers, medications, and a first-aid kit. In addition, you might also want to pack some snacks, a good book, and a light blanket.

If you have children, make sure you bring along some toys for them as well. Books, small building blocks, and coloring supplies are all great to help kids entertained while on the bus.

Sometimes, tours take you across borders. If that is the case, make sure you bring along all necessary forms of identification, including your passport. You might also want to bring a copy of your immunization record, if necessary.

2. Venture Alone

Charter bus tours typically stop at designated spots. If there is nothing of interest to you in that location, feel free to skip it. You can always venture out alone and visit the places you really want to see. Just remember, to leave early so you don't miss the bus. If you don't want to see anything in the area, feel free to stay on the bus and sleep or read. Remember, it's your trip and you don't have to do what the rest of the group does if you don't want to.

3. Take Notes

While on the bus, listen carefully for the driver or tour guide. These people will help inform you of stops, destinations, and local hangout spots. They might also give you the address where the bus will be waiting to pick up guests. This information is usually important, so jot it down on a piece of paper so you don't forget it. 

4. Choose Excursions Carefully

Charter tours will often have a selection of excursions. Some of these activities will be included in your price, while others aren't. If you want to take part in any additional excursions, make sure you let the driver know. Just choose carefully, as you don't want any activities to overlap.
